A message from our Chairperson
                                                                                  
Dear Colleagues, 

Our Company is committed to maintaining an atmosphere in which we are proud to work, and in which our business partners know they are being dealt with fairly. In continuance of these goals, we have updated our Company’s Value system.

The Sara Grech Values apply to all of our colleagues (all those representing Sara Grech) as well as members of the Board of Directors. It is critical that we all read the Statement of Ethics attentively. We ask that each of you make a special commitment to conform to the principles and polices set forth to you from time to time. 

Sara Grech Limited was built upon a foundation of honesty, respect, fairness and integrity. We must each strive to preserve that foundation by bringing these values daily to our job. To that end, we must all follow the Value System. Hence, due to certain circumstances this statement cannot possibly describe every practice or principle related to honest and ethical conduct, therefore it is also our responsibility to apply common sense, together with a desire simply to do the right thing, in making business and personal decisions where no stated guideline exists.

The open door policy allows each of us to be heard on any and every issue. Where ethics are concerned, our Company goes that extra mile. You are expected to raise any questions or concerns regarding business ethics.

We are all privileged to work for one of the most successful companies in Malta, and in order to sustain that success for future generations, it is our responsibility to sustain and reinforce the core ethical beliefs upon which our Company was founded.

Our Beliefs

Sara Grech founded the company in 1985 where she established the three simple basic beliefs from her statement:

"Excellent Companies are, above all, brilliant on the basics. Tools are no substitute for thinking, intellect does not overpower wisdom and analysis does not impede action. Our Company works hard to keep things simple in a complex world. We insist on top quality and achieve this through three simple beliefs: Our respect for the individual, a hands-on approach and quick action. You cannot get any of these without virtually everyone’s commitment”

We are firmly committed to the beliefs:

1. Respect for the individual

3. Quick Action

Guiding Ethical Principles:

As part of the Sara Grech brand name, all those within the group must:

• Never act unethically – even if someone else instructs us to do so
• Never ask someone to act unethically
• Seek assistance if you have questions about this Statement of Ethics or if you face an ethical dilemma
• Cooperate with any investigation of a possible ethical violation
• Report ethics violations or suspected violations
• Follow the law at all times
• Be polite and helpful
• Be responsible for appearance and behavior
• Be honest and trustworthy of peoples trust
• Never manipulate, misrepresent, abuse or conceal information
• Avoid conflicts of interest between work and personal affairs
• Never discriminate against anyone

The guiding ethical principals provide an introduction to the responsibilities of all directors, managers, consultants and employees, hence associates, as well as an overview of certain important policies. This Statement of Ethics is an important part of our relationship with everyone connected to Sara Grech. The policies may be modified without notice, at any time by the Chairperson. An associate is free to resign at any time for any reason or no reason and Sara Grech may terminate at any time for any reason or for no reason.

Guiding Human Relations Principles:

• Speak nicely to others. There is nothing as nice as a cheerful word of greeting
• Smile at people. It takes seventy-two muscles to frown and only fourteen to smile
• Be friendly and cordial. Speak with a genuine pleasure
• Be genuinely interested in people. You can like almost everyone if you try
• Be generous with praise – cautious with criticism
• Be considerate with the feelings of others. There are three sides to a controversy, yours, the other person and the right one
• Be alert to give professional service – what counts most in life is what we can do for others
• Add to this a good sense of humour, a big dose of patience and a dash of humility and you will be rewarded many fold

In a rapidly changing and unpredictable world, individuals and company’s need a clear set of fundamental principles to guide them through the day.

We have clearly defined our set of Values and we encourage all our teams to have a strong sense of purpose, a high level of self-esteem and the capacity to think clearly and logically. We believe that our competitive advantage is in the minds of our teams.

The set of ten values of Sara Grech constitutes the solid basis on which we are building up relationships within our organization and our customers. The mission and values of the company are practical habits that enable us, as individuals to be successful and achieve happiness. 

These ten values are binding for all consultants and members of our staff. Everyone may demand that these values be applied, and everyone's behavior is assessed for compliance with them.

4. Objective Reasoning/Innovation – we celebrate creativity and open-minded thinking,  we encourage and support responsible risk-taking and build on our successes and learn from our failures 
5. Independent thinking – We are all responsible for what we do and who we are
6. A Spirit of Teamwork – we energize and inspire each other whilst fostering an atmosphere of honesty, forthrightness, and utmost integrity
7. Quality & Service Excellence - We care about what we do. We build into our services a level of quality, performance, and value that will earn the respect and loyalty of our customers
8. Good Management – It is the responsibility of management to create a productive environment where Sara Grech Values flourish
9. Sustainable Profitability – our business is based on a balanced perspective between short and long-term vision. Earnings are an essential requirement for assuring the future of our organisation
10. Positive Social Contribution – As a corporate citizen, we wish to be an economic, intellectual and social asset in the communities where we operate
